W/ELCA – Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America
What is W/ELCA? It’s an easy way to say Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Quite a mouthful, we know. Our organization includes Lutheran women who gather in over 7,000 locations in the U.S. and the Caribbean, for service, study, advocacy, fellowship and more! W/ELCA embraces all kinds of ministries that support our mission of mobilizing women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ. There is a place for you in Women of the ELCA.
The Good Shepherd Women of the ELCA-(W/ELCA) meets at least six times a year. W/ELCA’s purpose is to encourage women of all ages to grow in faith, affirm their individual gifts, support one another in their callings and engage in active ministry within and outside the church. Gatherings include Bible studies as well as social events such as dinners with guest speakers, teas, and an annual dinner theater outing. Our on-going projects include making cheer baskets for homebound members and supplying both financially and with tangible items for designated Christian and Church-wide non-profit organizations. Women are invited to attend all gatherings as their schedule allows. Meetings and events are advertised in weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters.

An organization of Christian Men committed to Spiritual Growth, Community Service, Congregational Support and Fellowship.
The Men’s Fellowship-PALS ‘Paternal Alliance of Lutherans’ meets on the second Wednesday of each month. (Meeting location is announced in the newsletter and in weekly bulletins.) PAL’s purpose is for fellowship, spiritual growth and service to the Good Shepherd congregation and the community. The Men’s fellowship group supports the ministries of Good Shepherd where needed. Gatherings include dinner with guest speakers occasionally. All men and guests are invited to attend all gatherings as schedules allow. If you would rather have dinner at home and then come to the meeting, that would be fine.
